Along with his wife Wendy, Phil is Co-Founder of the international development organisation, WeSeeHope (www.weseehope.org.uk / www.weseehopeusa.org). They started it in 2000 after a failed adoption attempt of a little HIV + toddler and the organisation now works across five countries in Southern and Eastern Africa, equipping 60,000 vulnerable young people and 25,000 parents and guardians every year to build sustainable futures. Phil and Wendy’s work has been widely recognised and the British Prime Minister conferring on them the Points of Light Award, and both were made MBE’s by the Queen in the 2021 New Years Honours list.
WeSeeHope is committed to creating sustainable change for vulnerable children through community-led education, child rights and economic empowerment programmes, and work in partnership with in-country organisations to deliver these in areas where they are most needed.
From his experiences setting up WeSeeHope Phil brings an entirely unique perspective and experience to any room, conference or board meeting.
